AUCKLAND, Sept. 6. The sentenees on two soldiers who,, pieaded guiitv to military olfencea, when they appeared before a dis.trict, court-martial at Papakura Military. Gunner Malcolm Robert Brown, aged; 22, New. Zealand Temporary Staft', Area, 1, wh'o deserted from 164th Battery, 9tht Coast Regiment, N.Z. Artillery, at -Waiheke, on November 25, 1946, and was arrested on August 9 last, was sen-. tenced to 42 days' detention.
