The original manuscript of tlie late Lord Baden Powell's hook "Scouting For Boys, " on which Ihe world-wide Scout movenient was founded, lras come into the possession of Bov -Seouts Imperial Jleadquarters after being lost for nearly 40 years. The manuscript was produeed by an eblerly former clerk in the War Office who said that in .1907 he was lent .to Lord " Baden Povvell to make a copy of some his docunients. These included the handwritten draft of "Scouting For Bovs". The clerk said that after making the copy he did not return Ihe original as he (lid not realise its importance. "Scouting For Boys" was tirst published in 111stalments in 190(5 and soon afterwartts the formation of tlie lirst Scout trooiis based ujjoii Lord Baden Powell's ideas, was announced.
