Personal Methodist Fair A fair on a large scaie wfil bc held by the Methodist Ladies' Guild on October 11 when there wili be various stalls, etc. Watch for particulars. Life-Saving Club Mr. J. L. Dighton, secretary of the Royal Life-saving Society, writing to Mr. H. L. Witchell, secretary of the Life-saving Club at Otaki, now defunct, asks what are the prospects for re-establishing lifesaving classes in Otaki? The society would be glad to hear of anyone interested. Local residents would be well advised to consult Mr. Witchell an the matter. School Attendance The number on the roll at the Otaki State School at the end of the term was 200 boys and 188 girls, a total of 388, said the headmaster, Mr. J. E. James, in a report to this month's meeting of the committee. The average attendance for the term was 340 or 87 per cent. "Except for minor colds, few cases of an infectious nature are reported and the general health of the children is good," added Mr. James.
