CHURCH OF ENGLAND MEN'S SOCIETY
AUCKLAND, Sept. 3. The Dominion eonference of the Church of England 's Men's Society eommenced today. The Bishop of Auckland, the Rt. Rev. W. Simkin, presided over 76 delegates from every diocese in the country. The honorary Dominion organiser, Mr. J. Snell, announced that he hoped to have 100 branches with 1000 members formed before'he relinquished his post. The following officers were elected: Clerical Vice-president, the Venerable E. J. Rich (St« Peter's, Wellington); vicepresident, Mr. J. Snell (Wellington); honorary Dominion seeretarv, Rev. Austin Charles (St. Augustine's, Petone); honorary Dominion treasurer, Mr. O. A. Welch (Wellington) ; honorary Dominion auditor, Mr. A. McGregor (Wellington); Dominion Council, Revs. I. L. Richards (St. Lnke's, Christchurch), F. M. Kempthorne (St. Mary's, Karori), V. W. Joblin (St. Aidan's, Miramar), Messrs. R. A. Ammunsden (Wanganui), E. J. Smith, J. R. Smith, R. L. Wiggin's (Wellington). One other member is to be elected later; Dominion executive, Rev. F. M. Kempthorne and Mr. R. L. Wiggins.
