FINDING A NEW HOME FOR THE PRINCESS

Received Tuesday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 2. The Star says Sunninghill Park was so badly damaged by fire that it will not now be possible for Princess Elizabeth to use it as a residence after her niarriage. It is now expected the Princess and her husband will live at Bagshot Park, Surrev, formerly the country residence of the Duke of Oonnaught. Bagshot is a considerably larger house than Sunninghill but has not been occupied as a private residence for a number of years. The Duke of Connaught occupied it- after his niarriage in 1S79~ and lived there tili his death. The estate is noted for its fine gardens, particularlv its banks of rhododendrons and azaleas. During the war Bagshot housed 200 evacuee children.
