PROOF OF AGE SOUGHT
UNUSUAL REQUEST TO RUGBY UNION An unusual request was made to the Horowhenua RUgby Union in a letter received from the registrar of the Social Security Department, Rotorua, at-last night's meeting of the management committee. The letter asked for information regarding T.eia D. Reweti, who was a representative player in the district in 1914. Mr. Reweti had applied for an age benefit, wrote the registrar, but had been unable . to produce any documentary evrdence of his age. The letter asked the union to search its records regarding representative teams about the years 1914 to 1920, and advise the registrar of Mr. Reweti's age at the time. , As the union cannot produce any records of this period, it asks any person who has photographs or records which would prove Mr. Reweti's age to notify the secretary.
