SURVEY OF FILM INFLUENCE ON CHILDREN
WELLINGTON, Sept. 1. Parents and teachers will have the opportunity of assisting in the six months' survey of ' children 's cinema clubs in the Dominion, which is expecr. ed to begin this month in Wellington. The New Zealand Film Institute is to conduct the survey with the" cooperation of the educational authorities. The institute is hopeful that parents will write to the institute giving info'rnxation of anv way in which the attend ance at cinema clubs has affected thei> i-hildren's behaviour, speeeh aud out. look. Tn schoois the teachers will ask the children to write essays and to give talks on wliat they liave seen at the lilm showing of 'the cinema clubs to which they belong. When the New Zealand Film Institute was formed at the beginning of this year one of ' its'instructions to the working committee in Wellington was 1 1 0 conduct this survey. The committee I has the full backing of the New Zea land Educational Institute and the Teehnicnl Schoois and Secondary Schoois Associations.
