Received Wednesday, 11.0 p.m. BINGAPORE, August 27. Stiffening Indonesian resistence in the Dutch occupied areas is ailmitted in the "Oftieial News From Batavia" bulletin today, issued in Singapore by the Dutch consulate. The bulletin adds that Republican groups are becoming increasingly bolder, destroying roads and bridges with 'the object of rendering tratfic between the Dutch occupied areas impossible. A great deal oi sabotage had been done in centraJ Java in the. Tegal and Pelcalongan areas. Blaming the Jogjakarta radio propaganda for the stiffening resistance the bulletin says the newly appointed Indonesian Magistrate at Tjivvideg, near Bandung, received a letter warning him that "the gates of hell are open" for those who ccllaborated witli the Dutch.
