RUGBY ADMINISTRATION
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETS The management committee of the Horownenua Rugby Union met at Levin on Tuesday night. 1'he president, Mr. A. Gmespie, was in r.he chair.
Favourable reports on the representative games at Pahiatua and Foxcon wer.e received frorn the ceam managers. Had the Horowhenua representatives been given more practice together they would nave nad little trouble in winning any match they piayed, was the opmion expressed by the meeting. A ciaim was received from the Foxton Club -for the sum of £3 10s for expenses mcurred in trayelling to .Manakau to play Rahui on August 16. Foxton ciaimed that as Ranui liad aeiauited, and had not notmeti the union of this fact, they were liabie for the expenses mcurred. It was explamed oy Mr. K. L. Robinson that Rahui did not know that they were ^unable to fierd a team until the time came to play the game. In a motion passed oy the committee, the ciaim was disallowed owmg to the confused circumstances. After considerable discussion it was decided not to regrade W. Lay as a junior player. •
