— ■ W — Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Lindsay, of Mangaore, left yesterday to spend a hoiiday at Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Jones and family have arrived ln Shannon from Carterton. Mr. Jones has, been appointed to the staff. of the local railway station to fill the vacancy caused by the promotion to the post of stationmaster of Mr. A. North. Mr. and Mrs. Jones will be spending their holidays prior to Mr. Jones commenefng his duties.
