( Germany's Siegfried Line was a great bluff costing the German people millions of reiehmarks which lined the pockets of the Nazis, according to the British Army magazine, "Soldier." The magazine said that British ofheers who examined the fortification before blasting operations found the concrete below standard, and tests of the supposedly formidable "Dragon's teeth" showed that the contractors had. made fat 'profits. Great stretches of the line were shoddy make -believe and the Nazis worked a gigantic racket.
