It was a poor year for jumpers after all, for the season promised well, and first class horses like Brookby Song, Bramble Song, Master Meruit, Dumbo, Pages Raid, Brantome, The Monarch, Abdicate, Lost Art, Arabian Night, Good Armour, Bright Fox and Prize Ring were missirig this year. Still, all things considered, both ; Slirpeen and Boolamskee won well, and both fenced splendidly. But I they were lucky to strike a lean year. _ . _
