PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

MEETING OF CONGREGATION The annual meeting of the' congregation was held in the Presbyterian Church. The Rev. J. Martin presided. It was reported that Misses. Lind and Allan had continued to conduct the Sunday School successfully, and their services were much appreciated. The Tokomaru Sunday School was also in a healthy position. Mrs. McLeish reported on the Ladies' Guild, which had had a very successful year. Mr. G. Smith reported on the work of the Session for the year. Thanks were expressed to Mr. J. McNeile and Mr. W. Bond for their valued services during Mr. Martin's illness. Mr. G. Mitchell, on behalf of the congregation, thanked Mr. Martin for his faithful service, and trusted that his health would contmue to improve. Special thanks were extended to Mrs. Martin for playing the organ, and to Mrs. Ward for relieving her during her illness. The election of the -managers foljlowed, those appointed being: — Secretgry: Mr. J. R. Alexander; treasurer: Mr. W. Bain; committee: Messrs. McLeish, G. Mitchell and R. Patterson.
