Next Saturday the .Horowhenua senior representatives will travel to Pahiatua to play Bush in quest oi the Bebbington Shield, which the latter have held since' 1941.'' Horowhenua last won. the trophy in July, 1933, when they beat the Dannevirke Sub-union by 13 points to 6. In' June of the following year Dannevirke na'rrowly beat Horowhenua, 13 points to 11, to regain the shield. Between 1934 and 1941 it changed hands . several " times between Bush and Dannevirke.
