THURSDAY NIGHT'S MEETING At a meeting of the executive of the Horowhenua Marching Associa- j tion, held in Levin on Friday night, : a letter was received from the Levin Rotary Club soliciting support for the formation'of a branch of the United • Nations Association in Levin, and inviting the association to be. represented at a meeting in the Century Hall on Thursday night at 8 p.m. Members pledged their support to the Rotary .Club in its eftorrs, 1 and the president and secretary were appointed to represent the association at the meeting, other members also signifying their intention of being present. It was resolved that it be advertised asking members of teams, and the general and parents' committees, to attend this meeting and assist the Rotary Club to develop a spirit 9$ friendliness among all nations, just as orie of the objects of marching associations throughout New Zealand is to promote a spirit of friendship among teams.
