GANDHI'S "PEACE MISSION" HUT STONED
Received Thursday, 10.10 a.m. CALCUTTA, Aug. 13. About 1000 Hindu youths stoned and broke windows in Gandhi's new "peace mission" hut in Beliaghata, the riot cehtre suburb of Caicutta. The floors were littered with broken glass and rubbish thrown by the demonstrators. The youths shouted for Gandhi and Mr. Suhrawardy, Bengal's Moslem Prime Minister, who is living with Gandhi, to "go back." They clashed with people trying to enter the dwelling and prevented Gandhi holding his usual prayer meeting. The police used force to disperse the crowd.
