LAHORE, Aug. 12. Received Wednesday, 11 a.m. Twenty-four were - killed in Lahore today in a renewal of communal clashes. About forty were injured. Numerous fires were started today and since yesterday about ' 5'00 shops and houses, mainly in deserted Hindu districts, have been burned. Troops fired on an armed crowd attacking a village in the Amritsar 'district and killed nine raiders. ' Seventeen were killed and nine Injured when an armed gang raided a village in the Gurdaspur district.
