Mrs. H. F. Bryant, of Manakau, is corfined to her bed with illness. Mr. J. Corbishley, of Levin, has been admitted to the New Zealand Society of Accountants with the status of A.R.A.N.Z. Mrs. R. B. Bennell, secretary of the Manakau sub-branch of the Plunket Society, is an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital. Mrs. Artbur Bray, of. Waimate South, is staying at "Sedgemoor," Manakau, as the guest of Mrs. H. F. Bryant. The sudden death has occurred of Mr. James Livingston, aged 72, ■a sheep farmer, of Mangahei, Dannevirke. He had given long public service and was or.e of the best known settlers in Southern Hawke's Bay. Mr. Livingston leaves a widow and aclult family. 'The death yesterday of Mr. Wm. ■John Croucher removes one of the most widely-known and respected citizens of Palmerston North and district and a gentleman who gave up much of his time for the welfare of a large number of organisations.
