LADIES' INTER-CLUB GAME
On Tuesday last twelve lady members of the Levin Golf Club travelled to Buckley and played a friendly match with that club. The players were evenly matched, the contest resulting in a draw. The results are as follows, Levin players being mentioned first in each instance: Mrs. Hastedt beat Mrs. Nilson, Mr's. Herrick lost to Mrs. Higgie, Mrs. Long beat Mrs. Pope, Mrs. Richards beat Miss Stern, Mrs. Denion lost to Miss Easton, Mrs. Standen lost to Mrs. Stern, Mrs. Ryder beat Mrs. Barber, Mrs. Frederikson beat Mrs. | Graham, Mrs. McClune beat Mrs. | Cronquest, Mrs. Cameron lost to I Mrs. Rasmussen, M s. King lost to Mrs. Char.er, Mrs. Coutie lost to Mrs. Fitzgerald. Mrs. Cronquest welcomed the visitors. Mrs. Frederikson, captain of the Levin team, thanked the Buckley ladies for the enjoyable games and hospitality, and invited them to a return match on the Cheslyn Rise links. Club Activities The first qualifying round of the club championships was completed last week. The round was won by Mrs. Ryder on the count back from Mrs. Frederikson and Miss | Herrick. The following is the draw for the second qualifying round which will be played this ' week : Mrs. H. Black and Mrs. Hastedt, Mrs. Long and Mrs. Franklin, Mrs. Richards and Miss Herrick, ,Mrs. t Cameron and Mrs. Frederikson, ■ Mrs. Den'on and Mrs. McClune, Mrs, Hunter and Mrs. W. Walker, Mrs. Stanaen and Mrs. W. Ryder. Mrs. Scott and Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. G. Wilson and Mrs. King. The following games are to be played at the weekend: Mrs. Alexander and Mrs. Porter, Miss J. Black and Miss Hosie, Miss Phillips and marker. The draw for the intermediate and C grade mid-week players will take place in the clubhouse. Intermediate and C grade weekend players have been drawn as follows: Miss Kilsby and Miss Coleman, Miss Evison and Miss Cowan, Miss B. McMinn and Miss A. Todd, Miss L. Franklin and marker. The C grade competition was won by Miss A. Todd with Miss L. Franklin as runner-up. The fourball best ball bogey, played a fortliight ago, .was won by Mrs. Long and Mrs. Clark. Players are reminded that the second round of the Aratangata Cup began this week. Mrs. Hastedt and Miss Plosie are on tea dutyatthe weekend.
