WELLINGTON, August 11. A sittiug of the Arbitration Court bus l)een tixccl for tomorrow afternoon to liear additional submissions' by interested parties on the application tor a now scale of wages. The sittiug follows the annouuccment by tlie Minister of Finance (Mr. Nash) that there wonld be a witlid rawai or rednction of subsidies on certaiu commodities, and that the Court might desirc to give interested parties an opportunity to rc-state their cases in aceordance witli the new conditions. EFFECT 0!N BUDGET. WELLINGTON, August 11. The date for the introductiqn of the Budget niust to some extcnt depend upon the issuo of the judgment of tlie Arbitration Court on the application by the Federation of Labour for a general wage increase, said the Minister of Finance (Mr. Nash) today. The Minister said he saw no possibility of the Budget coniing down on Thursday of this week. In the House last Thursday the l'rime Minister (Mr. Fraser) had said that, despite printing diflficulties, it was hoped that the Budget would be brought down as planiied on August It.
