FOOD PARCELS FOR BRITAIN
R.S.A. RECEIVES LETTERS OF APPRECXATION Words cannot express my thanks or how I felt when I received the gift parcel sent to me through the Levin branch of the R. s. A. This was part of the contents of a letter received by the donor of a food parcel from Montague Sussman, of Salford, Lancashire, England. Letters are often received by the R.S.A. from the gratfeful recipients of food parcels in England, said Mr. J. Ccrbishley, a member of the "Food for Broughton" committee. The Levin R. S. A. send parcels to Broughton, a small suburb of Manchester. "It is extremely -kind and very thoughtful and generous of the New Zealand people to send such a lovely parcel of food to a person they have never seen," wrote Mr. Sussman. A resident of Lower Broughton, Thomas Beale, wrote thanking the branch and said: "I would like to express my appreciation to all you . kind people at the other end of the Globe, for the trouble and expense you have put yourselves to. I feel as though I am one of you, and hope one day to be able to thank you all personally." Since its inception three months ag'o, the "Food for Britain" committee, as a branch of the Levin R. S. A. has sent 174 food parcels to England.
