INTOXICATED MOTORIST
LICENCE 'SUSPENDED AND FINE OF £15 IMPOSED Pleading guilty to a charge of driving a motor vehicie while in a state of intoxication, Errol Bickens was fined £15 and had his licence suspended for 12 months in the Magistrate's Court, Otaki, on Thursday. Constable W. A. Calwell stated that on August 12 two cars were ir.volved in a collision in Mill Road, Otaki. One of them was driven by defendant, who was found to be slightly under the influence of' liquor, a doctor certifying that he was unfit to drive. Bickens had cut' in tob sharply and- had been the eause of th'e accident; Nothing was known against the defendant who appeared to be a decent type of young man.
