OTAKI, Aug. 11. Head iiijuries to whiCh he later succumbed were slistaiiied By a man named. James Reardon, roadman, of McKay's CrbsSihg, Paekakariki, when he fell Jrom the tray of a trii'ck near Te Horo about 5.30 p.m. yesterday. Mr. Reardon had been given a lift on the truck by Mr. L. G. McGiil, of Petone, and wlien near Te Horo he feil off the vehicie, strikihg his head on the roadWay. After receiving medical attention , he Was cdhveyed tb. the Palinersloh North Hospital, where he died at midnight. > -feil®.
