COMMITTEE MAKES FURTHER ARRAN GEMENTS A meeting of the commi tee of the Otaki H. and D.TSociety was held on Thursday night, the president, Mr. E. T. Bartosh, presiding. There was a good attendance, while apologies were received from those unable to be present. : It was reported that Mrs. Swabey had donated a silver cup for competition, and it was decided that i she be written to ar d ihanked for j her generous gift. The resignation of Mr. H. Witchell.was accepted with regret. It was reported that Mr. Witchelll had been a member of ihe com- ! mittee for many years, during ' which time he had 'given exeellent service, both as an exhibitor and j otherwise. The resignation, it was I stated, was because of his ill health. It was decided to write to Mr. J. J. Maher, M.P., and ask , him to j officiate at tlie opehir g cerembhy. j Other arrangements to make the ; show a success were considered.
