POSSESSION OF DWELLING

, CLAIM HEARD IN OTAKI A claim for possession of a dwellirg at Paekakariki was heard by Mr." A. M. Goulding, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court, Otaki,' on Thursday. Plaintiff was Harold Smith and defendant Douglas llorn. Plaintiff stated that he was a farmer living in the vicinity of Paekakariki and had let a dwelling1 to defendant. As he was now well up in years and his farm was deteriorating, he wanted the house for an employee he was endeavouring to get. He had another place but this was reserved for shearers. If he let this he would have difficulty in securir.g men to do his shearing. The magistrate said at this stage that under the circumstances he could see his way to make an order for possession: The case would be adjourned, to be brought on with seVen days' notice.
