THE ROONEYS SEEKING DIVORCE
Mickey Rooney, being sued by his second wife, Betty Jane, on financial grounds, is planning to file a counter-complaint, charging Betty Jane with cruehy. It looks as if the Rooneys are in for a sordid court battle. Nineteen-year-old Betty Jane, mother of Mickey's two sons, is asking the courts for a new financial settlement. She declares ihat Mickey fraudently induced her to agree to . an annual aliotment of £5000. She signed .the settlement under the impression that her husband's annual salary was only £12,000, whereas she later learned that he earned £84,000 a year.
