Mackley gave notice to ask the Minister of Transport if his attention had been directed to the newspaper report of comment made by No. 2 Licensing Authority at Masterton in regard to what he' called an attempted interference by the Member for Wairarapa with the jurisdiction of the Licensing Authority. ' ' If so, did the Minister agree that nothing improper had occurred in connection with the correspondence that passed between myself and the Minister relative to the matter and that the Licensing Authority 's reported strong protest against my action was not justilied by the facts? ' ; asked Mr. Mackley who requested the Minister to lay on the table of the House all correspondence relating to the matter.
