ENJOYABLE STUDIO DANCE

ATTRACTIVE PROGRAMME PRESENTED The pupils of Miss Irene Oliver and their friends were entertained at a studio dance in the Druids' Hall, Levin, on Monday night. A feature of the attractive programm'e was a demonstration of a huia ballet by a party of Miss Oliver's Palmerston North pupils, comprising Misses F. Sayles, E. Harrod, E. Bethel and B. Newlands. During the evening Miss Daphne Millard and Messrs. E. Anderson and M. Fox entertained with a tap number. A further tap duo was provided by Misses Lois Millard and Rae Collis. Modern and old- time dancing was continued till midnight, music being supplied by Mrs. Prince at the piano. Mr. H. A. Fenn acted as M.C. Various competitive dances were won as follows: Miss M. Harrison and Mr. N. Webber, Miss E. Bethel and Mr. N. Webber, Miss B. Harrison and Mr. B. Coombes, and a competitive game by Miss B. Newlands. After supper extras were played by Miss Shirley Stevens. •
