WEEKEND ACTIVITIES There was a good attendance of golfers on the links at Buckley over the weekend. Ideal weather prevailed a'nd some good golf was witnessed. In the junior championship competition F. Picard defeated F. Edmonds. On Sunday the "top dogs" competition was taken a stage further when the holders, W. Stern and J. Mabey, defended their title against K. Thompson and V. Picard, the holders winning by three up and two to play. A combined stableford was held on Sunday afternoon and C. Stern apd B.'Harris+were tJhelwinner^rf . After playing to bogey figures on Saturday, E.T. Wilson had his handicap reduced from six.to four. Wilson played outstanding golf, returning a nett card of 72, scoring ■ 35 over the first nine and returning in 37. • ■
