CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 4, Highly suspicious circumstances surround the discovery of a man's body this morning in the grounds of Canterbury University College, less than a quarter of a mile from the Centrul Police Station, in Hergford Street, The man has been identified as: William . Keefe Olds, aged about 56, whose address is believed to be 133 Abel Smith Street, Wellington. Startled workmen found the body at '8,45 a.m, today, It was stretched full length in a shallow trench, with most of it' actually hidden under a newly-erected building. The most significant aspect of the mystery from the point of view of the police is that the body w^ covered with an ordinarv coal saek. To shield the body even morf thoroughly, a big piece of tin had been placed up against the side of the building, completely hiding the grim object underneath the flooring. The man was utterly without money when the body was searched by detectives. A robbery motive has not been discounted by the police.
