A French Foreign Office spokesman de.nied that M. The spokesman said: "The French stipulation liad been that Germany should not control this production, and M. Bidault reatlirmed this when he added to the statements the woyds: 'But under the control of Europe.' ' ' The spokesman referred to reports fronj London that AI . Bidault's statement , was interpreted as a softening of the French attitude. ;
