HAWERA, August 1. A decision to refund part of the nomination and acceptance fees to own ers who have started hoi'ses at tlic Kgmont Racing Club's meetings and have been unsi'cccssful in winning stake money, was made at the Club's aunual meeting last night. "We have had a verv successful financial year and it seems only reasonable to recog nise in some way those who have lielped towards the success," said the chair nian, Mr. \V. O. Williams. "With thal object it has been decided to refund part of the nomination and acceptance fees to those pwners who started at out meetings Imt did not share in the stake money. It costs a good deal to keep a horse in training and I am sure owners v. ill appreciate what we have decided to (lo. "About 130 owners will reeeive cheques for varving amounts according to the number of times they started liorses at our meetings. It is necessarv to emphasisi; that tliis rebate is being made onlv beeause our vear's opera tions have resulted in a good profit. I( is not meant to establish a precedent for the futnre.
