DANCE BAND'S MISIIAP Leaving the road when en route to a function in Levin, a car carrying a Palmerston.- North dance band crashed through the side wooden fence of Mr. J. E. Killick's property in Johnston Street, Foxton, ending up on the front lawn. Apart from a severe shaking no one was injured, but the vehicle, though n©t extensively damaged, was unable to continue the jpurney. The mishap resulted in, the party, the Pompie Durie dance band, being delayed for over an hour. The personnel were conveyed to the function, the . Levin Labour Pqrty's dance, by taxi. Despite the non-arrival of the orchestra, the dance was continued, a Foxton visitor and Mrs. L. T. Green, of Levin, obliging with piano solos.
