People in Auckland and Tuatapere (South land) have been interviewed as wel'l as in Oamaru and Enfield. The farm at Enfield of .Mr. FI. Mor rison, lnisiiand of the deceased womau has reeently been tiro scene of ixitense activity. Neignbours state that a party of poliee officers pumped out a lagoon 011 the pr'operty, the bed of which was subsequontiy searehed. It is further statcd that a well at the holmestead was pumped out at the same time. When qucstioned as to these operatious, the officer in cliarge of investigations IDetective-kSergeant W. W. Hills) re'fused to make anv statement. An examination of the- body exhumed yesterday was made at the graveside i,y Dr. P. P. Lynch, Government patli oiogist, of Wellington, who had with him Dr. E. E'. Dath, professor of patli ology at Otago Universitv, and Mr. C. H. Keyes, Government analyst at J")un edin. Jt is reported that eontents were taken from the body for analysis which work is now in progress at Dun idin. The body, considering tha^ it had been interrcd for five years, was in a remarkable state of preservation. Dr. Lynch expects that it will be about, three week.s before results of the tests are available. The work of exhumation began at 9 a.ni. and was completed by noon.
