Zealand by the late Mr. Williain Toi ford, a sheep farmer, of Otanomomo South Otago. Sotno land in the Clutlr Survey District is also to be used ti-" a seenic or public rescrve, according to the will. A portion of the estate to the cxlen of about 1250 acres is to be set asid. as a stud farm for the purpose of eu couraging the brceding of purebrec Ronmey sheep and Hereford cattle The floek of sheep and the hcrd o1 cattle at present on the propcrty are t be used as foundation stock, and only those sheep now on the propcrty, aud those obtained from recognisetl Romney Studs in Kent, England, are to be used in breeding operations. The net annual income from the ulti mate residue of the estate after othei trusts of the will have been satisfied as far as possilile, is to be applied U« both, or either, of the following pur poses: 1. To encourage and promote the im pvovement of sheep breeding in New Zealand. 2. To promote aud assist rcsearch work into the eauscs and cure of diseases and ailments of the human body.
