£747,861 an Hour
For those who are statistically minded it is mteresting to note the rate at which money passes at pelt saies compared with that at wool saies, says the annual report of the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board. To realise £1,000,000 at -a woo/ sale probably takes upwards of eight hours' auctioneering, an average of £125,000 an hour. The four pelt saies completed to date have taken approximately four hours and realised £2,991,446, thus averaging the remarkable figure of £747,861 an hour. t
