RIOTING STUDENTS APPEAR BEFORE COURT
Received Mondav, 7.45 p.m. 8YDXEY, July 28. When 13 students apjieared in the . Central Court today as the result Of Friday's demonstration 111 the city, the poiice alleged that "a niost serious breach of the law had occurred. " The students, vvhose ages ranged from 18 to 21, pleaded not guilty to charges of offensive behaviour, indeeent language, assaulting the poiice and resisting arrest. Tliev were remanded on bail. 1 Hundreds of people were ihvolvetl in a riot in the centre of Hydney wheli university students and wharf labourers liiarched to the Dutch Consulate in Margaret Street to protest against the Dutch policv in ludonesia. The poiice snatched banners and pamphlets from the deinonstrators and a free-for-all fight started in which several men were khocked to the ground and niany were carried away bleeding.]
