SUDDEN DEATH AT OTAKI
MR. R. A. C. MORTON PASSES Mr. Rito Alfred Clement Morton, popularly known as Robert, many years ago a resident of Otaki, and a sofi of the late Mr. Morton, photographer, of Otaki, was found dead at an early hour yesterday morning at the Telegraph Hotel, where he had been staying since he came to Otaki to work on the dragline some months ago. Mr. Morton, on re'tiring late on Saturday night, complained of not feeling well. At 7.30 o'clock yesterday morning one of the attendants at the hotel, on taking his breakfast to his room, found hi.n on the floor dead. Medical attention was immediately souglit, but all • that could be done was to pronounce life extinct. The late Mr'. Morton saw service overseas and had been discharged graded "number 1. He had always enjoyed good health, and was a favourite with all wno knew 'him, especially his mates in * the P.W. camp. Mr. Morton leaves a wife and family tb mour:n their loss, for whom much sympathy is felt ln their sudden and sad bereavement. They reside in Castlecliff, Wanganui. An inquest will be held.
