Xo overtime was accepted tonight liy ship carpenters' seetioii of the Auckland Waterside Workers' Union which decided on Wedncsday not to work beyond ordinary hours until the claiin for an extra dd an liour had been met by the einplovers. Anotlier stopwork meeting of the section was held this lnorniiig. Xo serious incon venience was eaused to shipping today but the departure of oue steanier, the Tower Hill, has been delayed from Saturdav until Momlav directly as the result of time lost. by the stopwork meeting an-1 f'ailure of the men to accept overtime.
