i Sjahrir, who arrived by air, said: "We will give every possible help to tlndonesia." j Denouncing the Dutch action, i Pandit Nehru said: "No European jcountry has any business to use its :army in Asia. Foreign armies functioning on Asian soil itself are an outrage to Asian sentiment. If | United Nations tolerates this or : remains inactive, then United Nations ceases to be." I M. Sjahrir told a press conferI ence that his mission was "to make the world stop this colonial war in Tndonesia." His journey to India iwas logical, because Pandit Nehru was a personal friend and India jwas the best place to consider the 'Situation and make up his mind about the future programme.
