Received Friday, 11.25 a.m. BATAVIA, July 24. A Republican Army communique announced that the Republican Army had recaptured Sinoman, one kilometriB south of Madjokerto, which Was later recaptured also. The eommimique says that the army has received the full assistance of the people.
Purwodadi, a village eight kilometres north of Lawang, has been recaptured after heavy fighting. Cheribo-n was attacked on Wednesday afternoon by Dutch forces moving frcm Sumedang via Kadipaten using 50 tanks. -Heavy fighting is reported on the outskirts and ih Cheribon. (The Dutch reported that they had captured Cheribon). In mid-Java the Republican Army is making a rapid actvance in the march towards Semarang.
