Reference to the death of Mr. S. A. Brdadbelt waiS made by the chairman Of directprs, Mr. T. , G. Vincent, at the annual meeting of the Levin ' Co-operative Dairy Company on Wednesday. Mr. Vin-' cent spoke of the good Work dohe by Mr. Broadbelt during his 35 years as chairman of directors of the company. "All over New Zealand in anything to do with dairy business Mr. Broadbelt will be remembered as a man who was singularly efficient and kindiy in his work," Mr. Vincent said. "He was a man who was with the company since its "inception, and i would like to take this opportunity to express the regret felt by all who knew him in any way." Among the passengers on the s.s. Rimutaka when it berths at Wellington next week will be Mr. C. B. Burdekin, O.B.E.,, M.S.M^ brother of Mr. H. B. Burdekin, Mayor of Levin. Mr. C. B. Burdekih, Who will be accompanied by his Wife, intends to reside in New Zealand. A weil-known figure to ex-prison-ers of war, he was in charge of th6 distribution of comforts and parcels to New Zealanders in P.O.W. camps in the late war. His wife served in the Russell Square cafeteria, a well-known haunt of New Zealand .troops . of World War I. - The Mayor of Wellington, Mr. Will.
