Burdekih, Who will be accompanied by his Wife, intends to reside in New Zealand. A weil-known figure to ex-prison-ers of war, he was in charge of th6 distribution of comforts and parcels to New Zealanders in P.O.W. camps in the late war. His wife served in the Russell Square cafeteria, a well-known haunt of New Zealand .troops . of World War I. - The Mayor of Wellington, Mr. Will. Appleton, has advised that a civic reception will be tendered Mr. Bprdekin on his arriv.dl.
