NOTE OF WARNING TO BRITAIN

Beeause of apparent contradictions in recent Ministerial statements, Mr. Attlee is taking steps to ensure that future prononneements contain a unanimous note of warning on Britain 's economic prospe.cts, says the Daily Tele graph's political correspondent. He is advising his eolleagues to seek details from Ihe Gpvqrnment's economic information' unit before addressing meetings Mr. Attlee, the correspondent adds, holds the view that the gravity of the impending economic erisis is not fully appreeiated by the pitblic and that Min isters should make greater efforts to prepare the country for it. At the same time they should state as fully a.s possible the measures being taken to mitigate it.
