WELLINGTON, July 23. The Netherland's Minister, Dr. van Troostenburg de Bruyn, referring today to the Indonesian trouble, said he hoped it would be of short duration. He expressed appreciation of the space devoted by the New Zealand papers to developments, and of the clear and impartial recording of events. The Minister said that it was with great reluctance that the Coalition administration in the Netherlands, comprising representatives of the Catholic People's Party and the Labour Party, had decided to resort to action and it was significant that the Labour Party had endorsed fully the Government's action. Furthermore, the Labour Party had been pledged to seek a peaceful solution of the problem. This showed there was no other way out in the present circumstances. "I was successful yesterday afternoon in hearing a broadcast from the Netherlands, which stated that the trade union movement had made an appeal to all Dutch work- ! ers not to stop work and not to be I influenced by any voices which ! mie:ht suggest strikes, as might be; instigated by the Communists." j
