Excellent progress in National Savings was again recorded last week, when 324 places, representing 92 per cent. of the areas for which quotas have been allotted, a&taiiied their individual weekly duotas. Investments continue to be made at a high level in all districts of the four ptiricipal cities, each with a National Savings quota allotted on a population basis. Dunedin has again this year over-subscribed its annual quota of £260,000 in advance of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, while 135 local annual quota successes have been recorded since April 1 last. Of these 70 are places in the North Island and 65 are in South Island towns.
