Personal , . . Miss Shona Johnson is at present spending a holiday at Marton. Mr. Jerry Beech, of Wellington, spent the weekend as the guest of his. parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Beech, Mangaore. A weekend visitor to Shannon was Mr. K. Martin, of Wellington. He was the guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Martin, Vogel Street. Mr. Ron Grant, of the local post offlce staff, is at present on annual. leave and is visiting his parents at Marton. During Mr. Grant's absence his place at the post office si being taken by Miss R. J. Russell. Mr. Jim Campbell, of Martinborough, motored through to Shannon on Saturday and spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Campbell, Vance Street.
