NEW COVENTRY CATHEDRAL

Received Sundav, 7 p.m. LOXDOX, .July 19. The Coventry dioeesan conference unanimously approved the report of Lord Harlech 's Commission reeom mending that the eathedfal should be built on the same spot as the oio cathedral and should be in English Gothic tradition. The conference recommended all authorities eoncemed to acce])t the report. Lord Harlech told the conference that the commission recommended English Gotliic architecture because the Royal Fine Arts Commission wa^unlikely to approve any plan wliieli meant using modern design and material on the old cathedral 's site. The connnission recommended that there should be an open architectural competition for the new building.
