MARKET REPORT
Messrs. Townsend and Paul, Ltd., fruit and produce merchants, Wellington, report that inclement weather during the past week has had an ulterior effect on values for most varieties. Tree tomatoes have been difficult to quit, but Chinese gooseberries and hothouse tomatpes have hoth been sought. Walnuts and all citrus are wanted, while chokos, cape gooseberries and passionfruit have been placed to adva'ntage. All varieties of cut blooms have again commanded keen attention, saies in all instances . being well attended. Larger quantities of most varieties of vegelabhes have been available, values in the main beine considerably easier than last week's quotations, cabbages, green peas and kumeras being the only exception. Smaller yardings of poultry have been offered, prime birds remaining steady, and if anything having a rising tendencv.
