SMASH AND GRAB RAIDS FOR JEWELLERY
Received Tuesday, 7 p.m. SYDNEY, July 14. Detectives are searching for a gang of smash and grab thieves which made a daring haul from a King's Cross jew eller's shop today — its tliird in a week.. The thieves engage taxis in the city, drive to a seleeted shop and smash the plateglass window with beer bottles. Today 's haul included five wristlet watches, one of which was given to thc taxi driver. He, liowever, immediately reported the matter to the police. Yes terday's haul from a city shop is estimated at just under £100.
