Tlie diamonds were originallv in a ring b'elonging to Lieutenant Mounl batten's motlrer, Princess Alice, of Greeee, some of which were given he.' by her ]iusl)and, the late Prince An drew. Princess Elizabeth's ring coti sists of a big centre diamond flanke I 011 each side by a eluster of five smalle; stones. A large heart made of hydrangea petals with letters E.P. worlced in smali rosebuds was hung at Euston station ])latform to farewell the Royal Family wlien they left for the Scottish visit. The heart was a personal tribute from >Sir Robert Burrows, the chairman ftt tlie London-Midlands-Scottish Railway t'oy.
